Family Meetings Help Kids Talk to Parents

Wouldn’t you have loved it if your parents would have had family meetings? You don’t know what one is? Watch the video below?

Family meetings are a way of creating solidarity in a family. It is a way of building self-esteem – as long as the meetings are done in a non-judgemental way. Think of your family as a corporation with a democratic way of managing the firm. While the parents are the ones who are the CEOs, the children can still have a voice (within limits of course – so set them). This is a very educational way to help children grow and become mature, responsible adults.
